Lover of Words

I love words.  I went to school for words.  With the right use of words you can find new way of saying things.  You can add more to what you have to say.  Emotion. Image.  Power.

Believe it or not, I started this blog to find what I have to say, and to share it–not just to show my booty every now and then.    Every so often I think to myself “what the hell am I doing putting myself out there, who really gives a shit what I have to say?”  Sometimes I think i’ve peaked and KiniMama needs to just fade into the distance.  And then suddenly someone will tell me how my message has inspired them, how important it has been to them.  No I don’t think I’m so bikini wearing messiah but I think that resonating with others helps me know who I am and where I am in this life. It’s been incredibly inspiring and fun to have this tiny platform.

Anyways, enough about me. Back to words.  I love words.  Especially big, fancy words that you can squish immense meaning into just one word.

Today I was on Pinterest exploring fancy words.  and I found this one:

Meraki

which, depending on your Google source is either a noun, a verb or an adverb. As a noun it is essentially the soul, creativity, or love put into something; the essence of yourself that is put into your work. As an adverb or verb, it is the urgency and intensity with which you do something you desire to do.

Sometimes words can develop their own meaning to ourselves, and thus, I feel creatively I don’t care if its a verb or a noun, it is essentially why I am here, doing this very thing.  If you are going to do something, do it with passion, with purpose, stay genuine to yourself and the love of your task with always shine through.

And that my friends, is our word of the day.

Thank you for being here.

And now booty.
