Let Her Be

I was going to write this whole thing, about being a strong woman, and all the praise and criticism that comes with it. This is one of the strongest women I know, at 15 years old she is two time state wrestling champ and NUMBER EIGHT IN THE NATION.

She knows the height of the podium, but also the criticism cast on her body, the pressures of maintaining weight and also the judgement for having a muscular, athletic figure. You have to be mentally strong to deal with that shit.

So I was going to write this whole thing, about being a strong woman, but you know what, let’s take a moment and let her be what she will be, without calling it anything or trying to label it.

Here are some pictures from my photo shoot with my niece, Nanea. We are rocking Acacia CapeTown in lipstick chord and black beauty mesh, a new exclusive from The Lucky Honey.
